New Delhi:

A newspaper ad for a law college is doing the rounds on the internet for an amusing reason. It draws comparisons between Gabriel Macht’s Harvey Spector from the hit American television series Suit and Jagdishwar Mishra, played by Akshay Kumar in the Hindi film Jolly LLB 2.

The full page advertisement is for Indore Institute of Law. It has images of two characters placed alongside the text reading, “You could be Harvey Spector or Jagdishwar Mishra, the choice is yours”. For those who don’t know, in the American series, Harvey Spector is one of the most sought after lawyers in America. Whereas, Jagdishwar Mishra is a struggling lawyer from Lucknow who dares to fight a legal battle against an experienced and cunning lawyer and wins.

Sharing the photo, the user jokingly said, ‘I want the confidence of the colleges of Indore.

This post has made a lot of headlines on Twitter.

One user wrote, “I love how it’s open to interpretation, they’re not making any definite claims about what they’ll make of you.”

It seems that not everyone could understand creative advertising.

“Indore Institute of Law >> Harvard Law School,” wrote one user, adding that Harvey Spector graduated from the prestigious Harvard Law School.

Few wanted everyone to imagine Harvey graduating from the Indore Institute of Law.

Many did not miss any chance to cast Saul Goodman or Jimmy McGill from the TV series Better Call Saul. The character, who is a lawyer on the show, is played by actor Bob Odenkirk.

This ad first went viral in 2020 and has now surfaced again.
