Chandigarh: Haryana All set to breach 2 crores COVID-19 Vaccine jabs were given on Wednesday to over six lakh people as the vaccination coverage mark till Saturday, taking the number of coverage to 1.97 crore.
Health officials have planned to organize mega camps on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, 12 new Covid-19 cases, one death and 24 recoveries were reported during the day.
Four districts, Rohtak, Sirsa, Mahendergarh and Jind retained the tag of Covid-19 free districts of the state. Whereas death was reported only from Kaithal district.
Haryana Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Veena Singh confirmed that preparations are on to cross the two crore mark of Kovid-19. Vaccination on Thursday. “We are making all the effort and people are really coming forward,” she said.
According to the information, out of the total 60,5,667 vaccines given during the day, 4,34,610 were given the first dose while 1,71,057 were given the second dose. The total number of vaccinations in the state has reached 19788253.
Meanwhile, the cumulative number of cases has reached 7,70,688 cases. While 7,60,545 people have been cured, 9,808 people have died. At present 105 active patients are undergoing treatment. Of the total active cases, only 45 are hospitalised.
The state recorded a day’s Covid-19 positivity rate of 0.05% and a cumulative positivity rate of 6.40%. While the recovery rate and death rate were reported to be 98.68% and 1.27% respectively.
The maximum eight cases were reported from Gurugram district followed by two from Faridabad and one each from Hisar and Panchkula districts.
