Haryana: Two from BJP, one from INLD to join Congress. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Chandigarh: Two senior BJP leaders and one Indian National Lok Dal (INLDSirsa leaders joined the Congress party in Delhi on Monday.
BJP’s Pawan Beniwal, who had contested the last assembly election, and Ashok Goel joined the Congress at the All India Congress Committee (AICC) headquarters.
Kanwar Pal Singh, son of former INLD MP and close aide of Abhay Chautala, also joined the Congress.
The trio joined the party in the presence of AICC general secretary Vivek Bansal and Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Kumari Selja.
The latest development assumes significance in view of the announcement of by-elections to the Ellenabad assembly constituency.
The post fell vacant after the resignation of Abhay Singh Chautala.
Shailaja said, “We are happy that the Congress party’s family is expanding. We have assessed the contribution of all the three leaders in Sirsa. And we will assign responsibilities to them accordingly.”
