Haryana: Woman dies after being pushed by train for protesting molestation. Chandigarh News – Times of India

Chandigarh: A 32-year-old woman died after she was allegedly pushed from a moving passenger train, which tried to molest her nearby HaryanaTohana station in Fatehabad, officials said on Friday.
The incident took place in the presence of the woman’s nine-year-old son, he said.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) said that the woman had boarded a passenger train from near Lakhan Majra in Rohtak to go to Tohana.
A GRP official said that the incident happened on Thursday night.
SHO Naresh Kumar of GRP police station Hisar said that the woman was traveling with her son.
“The passenger train was going from Delhi to Tohana and the woman and her son had boarded it from Lakhan Majra,” he said.
He said most of the passengers had deboarded the train at the last station and most of the coaches were empty when the incident happened near Tohana station, where the woman had to get down.
The woman’s husband was waiting at Tohana station.
GRP SHO said, “During preliminary investigation it has come to light that one accused was involved in the incident. We are trying to identify him and he will be arrested soon.”
He said the woman resisted attempts by the accused to harass her, but was allegedly pushed down from the moving train and died due to injuries.
Kumar said that when the train reached Tohana, his son, who was crying out loud, told his father about the incident after which the police were informed. The body of the woman was later found near the tracks at some distance from Tohana, they said.
“A case has been registered against the accused under sections 302 (murder) and 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to outrage woman’s modesty) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC),” the police officer said.
