Indian Institute technology Alumni of Madras (IIT Madras) have launched a website ‘AskIITM.com’ on which IIT aspirants can directly reach out to IIT Madras alumni and questions ranging from placement, faculty and academics to campus culture at IIT Madras. can find answers.
Visitors can browse the site – www.askiitm.com – view existing queries and also ask their own queries on this website, which is an alumni driven initiative and helping aspirants of IIT Madras wants.
Inviting JEE aspirants to make use of this website, the Director, IIT Madras, Prof. Kamkoti said, “Aspirants go on social media to find information but there is so much information that it is confusing. The need for a reliable source of information is immense. I am thrilled that the enthusiastic alumni of this great institute are providing it through AskIITM.”
The website allows anyone to ask questions related to the institute, which will be answered within 48 hours by a team of alumni and student volunteers. Feedback will be given to those asking questions via email and/or WhatsApp, and the new question will appear on the site for others to benefit from.
Speaking about the initiative, Professor Mahesh Panchagnula, Dean (Alumni & Corporate Relations), IIT Madras said, “Our alumni are in the best position to answer questions about IIT Madras as they have no access to the institute.
