Marvel superstar Jeremy Renner, one of the six original Avengers, is all set to transport viewers to a world set in New York City after the blip. Debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with his stand-alone web series Hawkeye, MCU fans will see Clint Barton reunited with his family. He has given up on his superhero mission and wants to lead a simple life and spend a peaceful Christmas with his family. But can things be that simple in the MCU’s multiverse? We all know, it can’t be.

The series spends more time on being Clint’s father and will be the first time Jeremy’s character is getting to explore that side of him.

“For me, it’s one of the more important anchors,” Jeremy said during a press conference ahead of Hawkeye’s release. “Like when you brought in Linda and this big a** as strong female anchors for Clint, it all tells me and even the audience what Clint’s real superpower is. I guess That it’s really the anchor and base of where all his emotional solidity and actionability and relativity are to him and what his superpowers are. And, I’ve always thought he’s a father.”

“Any parent who is very involved is a superhero in their own right. It’s a tremendous honor and a gift. And the hardest thing I think any human can go through. But there’s amazing practicality to it.” And you don’t want to get in the way of any Papa Bear or Mama Bear and their family, ’cause you’re about to go down. So it’s beautiful, just an amazing superpower in that,” he said with a laugh.

At the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame, we see Hawkeye somewhere feel guilty that her best friend and fellow Avenger Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow has sacrificed herself to get the Soul Stone. He is made to believe that he is responsible for Natasha’s fall from Vormir. Clint undergoes survival-survivor crime after the incident.

“I think it was survivor crime outside of just dealing damage,” he said, explaining how it affected his character in the Hawkeye series.

“It’s addressed in the show, which I think is beautifully intimate. It brings our characters closer together.”

the audience. There is a lot of load that has been carried. This resting face on the show may have a veneer of murmuring. But it ultimately just comes down to the weight and horrors, tragedies and pitfalls that come with Endgame,” he elaborated.

Jeremy thinks Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Kate Bishop on the show, balances out Barton’s serious tonality. “The lightness and brilliance that Hailey’s character brings to The Retribution takes it to a somewhat level-headed way. It’s very charming, and I think it’s pretty.”

Marvel Studios’ “Hockey”, the first in the MCU to be set during the holidays, stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawk and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. The series also stars Vera Farmiga as Maya Lopez, Fra Fei, Tony Dalton, Zahn McClaren, and newcomer Alaqua Cox. Helmed by Rice Thomas and directed by the Bert and Bertie duo, “Hockey” is executive produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Trin Tran, Brad Winderbaum, Rhys Thomas and Jonathan Igla.

The six-episode series will premiere on Disney+ on November 24, 2021, consisting of two episodes; Subsequent episodes begin every Wednesday after that.
