In his justification, he wrote, “There were some people in our community who were upset because of a shot in our trailer – the character wearing Ranbir’s shoes when he rings a bell. In form of producer of this film (and a devotee), I wanted to humbly address what happened here. In our film, Ranbir is not entering the temple but entering the Durga Puja pandal.
He also said, “My own family has been organizing similar events”. Durga Puja Festival For … 75 years! One that I have been a part of since childhood. In my experience, we only take off our shoes, right on the platform where the deity is, not when you enter the pandal. ,
On a closing note, he wrote, “It is important for me personally to reach out to anyone who may be disturbed by this image…, traditions and history. That’s why I made this film, so for me it’s a lot.” It is important that this feeling reaches every Indian who is watching the Brahmastra!”
Meanwhile, apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the film also stars Nagarjuna, Mouni RoyAnd Amitabh Bachchan in important roles. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on 9 September.
