Heat stroke cases on the rise amid scorching heat

With the sweltering heat wave sweeping many parts of the state, heatwave cases are on the rise, taking a toll on the health of people who are exposed to direct sunlight for long.

A woman farm laborer from Gavicherla village of Sangam mandal in Warangal district died allegedly of heat stroke late on Wednesday night. He reportedly worked in a field under the scorching sun and apparently suffered heat stroke.

Sources said she fainted after returning home and died on her way to the hospital late in the night.

A 58-year-old woman from Aswaraopet in Bhadradri Kothagudem district died of suspected heat stroke on Wednesday.

Parts of the Coal Belt region experienced a severe heat wave on Thursday, with the temperature reaching 45 degrees Celsius in some parts of the region.
