Karisma married a Delhi businessman in 2003. Sanjay Kapoor. The couple has two children, daughter Samaira and son Qian. In 2014, Karisma and Sanjay decided to separate and filed for divorce by mutual consent. However, the proceedings took an ugly turn when several allegations were leveled against each other by Karishma and Sanjay. Their divorce was finalized in 2016 and the children live in Mumbai with Karishma. A few years back, Karisma was linked to Sandeep Toshniwal and was often friends with the businessman, but their romance soon ended.
After delivering hits like ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Raja Hindustani’ and ‘Judwaa’, Karisma took a break from films for her children. Speaking about the same, Karisma had told Filmfare in an interview, “That was the choice I made. I wanted to be with my kids. Motherhood completely changes you as a woman. Your children become your priority. Work is secondary to me. It’s all about going back home and being with the kids. There is nothing more important than this. Since the kids have grown up now, I have started acting again. Still, I am selective about it.”
Recently, Karisma started shooting for an OTT crime thriller titled ‘Brown’.
