Here’s how you can turn your Android phone into a digital photo frame

Ditch your Android device’s mundane screen saver to add a personalized touch to photos from your phone’s gallery. So that next time your device is kept idle while charging or generally idle, you will get to see your favorite pictures on the digital-photo frame from your phone. This feature is built into the Android OS and you won’t have to go through the hassle of downloading an additional app. All you have to do is follow these simple steps:

– Unlock your device and go to the Settings menu.

– Tap on Display and scroll to select Screen saver menu.

– Next tap on the current screen saver and select the Google Photos app icon.

– This will bring you back to the screen saver menu page

– Here, tap the gear icon to set your preferences such as when to display photos as screen savers or to turn on or off animated zoom effects and other options.

– Navigate back to the main screen saver menu page and tap “When to start” to select when the screen saver will turn on – either while charging, docked, or both.

– Go back to the main screen saver menu page, and tap “Start Now (or Preview)” to see a preview of your selected settings.

The screen saver will start with the first picture in your album, the order in which the pictures are sorted. If you get bored with Photos as your screen saver, you can also choose to create an auto-updating album:

To create an auto-update album, go to google photos app, and tap on the Library tab at the bottom of the screen

-Next- Select the “+” icon for a new album or select an existing album by going to the same Library tab and select an album.

– Give the album a title and tap Select People and Pets under Add Photo option.

– Select the topics you want to have in your auto-updating album and Google will automatically recognize the most recently uploaded images on the Photos app.

– To use the feature with an existing album, tap on the three dots in the top right corner and select options.

– Next, under Automatically add photos, tap the plus sign and choose who you want to include. You can also choose to select an existing photo

– New images will appear at the beginning of the album and therefore will be shown first as your screen saver.

You are good to go!
