Here’s what the edit feature coming to Twitter could look like – Times of India

Twitter has confirmed that it is working on a new feature that will allow users to edit Tweet after posting. The company will test this feature only for Twitter Blue user first. Netizens first took the company’s announcement as a joke as it was shared on April Fool’s Day. However, the company later elaborated on its plans regarding the feature. While Twitter hasn’t revealed how the upcoming editing tool will look or function, known reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi has shared a glimpse of what users can expect.
As per the screenshot shared by Paluzzi, you will be able to see a new ‘Edit Tweet’ option in the three-dot menu. The option will appear just below the View Tweet Analysis option. Clicking on the new option will open a new window, similar to the one you see when sharing a Tweet. From the window, you will be able to edit the shared tweet and clicking the ‘Update’ button will save the changes.
Another GIF shared by developer Neema Ovji reveals that though the editing feature will allow you to make all the necessary changes in a tweet, it will not allow you to change the audience. It is not yet known whether the company will have any limits on the edits you can make. It is also not clear how many times you can use the upcoming feature.
This month, Twitter also rolled out a new alt text accessibility feature. With the new feature, users will be able to see an option in the lower right corner of the screen. On tapping on it, users will be able to see the image description. Adding image description allows people who are blind, low vision, using assistive technology, living in areas with low bandwidth, or with cognitive disabilities to contribute to Twitter.
