Hero MotoCorp ties up with CRPF to introduce retro fitted scooters for specially-abled ex-servicemen – Times of India

Hero Motocorp announced today that it has partnered with CRPF To hand over retro-fit scooters to specially-abled ex-CRPF personnel.
Launched under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) platform ‘Hero We Care’, the ‘Hero Salutes Heroes of the Nation’ project will be handed over to 90 retro-fitted persons, the company said. The scooter is equipped with an analog-digital combo unit with an LCD displaying trip meter, odometer reading and service indicator. The Destiny 125 sits on 10-inch wheels wrapped in 90-section SEAT tubeless tyres.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Hero MotoCorp and CRPF Family Welfare Association (CWA), this project will offer a unique welfare package to 200 identified CRPF families, which have been severely affected due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The company also said that it aims to provide essential services like food security and nutrition to the women of the affected families along with the education of their children by creating conducive conditions to sustain their livelihood. The company will support children who have lost one or both of their parents or guardians and women who have lost their spouse due to COVID-19 in the country.
The company recently introduced these scooters to Indian Army personnel in Gujarat, Delhi-NCR, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Assam. have done. , and Kerala.
