NS Hero XPulse 200 Has always been a very capable entry-level adventure motorcycle with real off-road capability. The XPulse 200 has become quite a popular machine with its versatility, light weight and nimble off-road capability. Now, Hero MotoCorp has updated the XPulse 200 to offer more performance, as well as a minor update to introduce the XPulse 200 4 valve with new appeal, and improved performance, thanks to the updated engine. The 200 cc, four-valve engine now makes 6 percent more power and 5 percent additional torque. In numbers, it makes 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 17.35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The updated engine is said to ensure comfortable and stress-free performance at high speeds.

As the name suggests, the Hero XPulse 200 is now equipped with a 200 cc, four-valve, oil-cooled engine that produces 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 17.35 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. With 6 per cent more power and 5 per cent additional torque, the new engine is said to ensure a relaxed and stress-free performance at high speeds. According to Hero MotoCorp, the four-valve, oil-cooled engine delivers superior power in the mid- and top-end speed ranges, but provides stress-free engine performance even at high speeds while keeping vibrations under control. For better heat management, the cooling system has been updated with a 7-fin oil cooler. The gear ratio has also been updated for better tractability and acceleration, and the overall transmission has been improved.

Hero XPulse 200 4 valve continues long travel suspension with 190mm travel up front, 220mm ground clearance and standard engine bash plate to take on rough terrains.

The stock Hero XPulse 200 4 valve has longer suspension travel, with 190 mm of forward travel, and 170 mm of rear travel, with a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel. The XPulse 200 also comes with a standard aluminum skid plate that protects the engine, and a new toothed brake pedal for better grip, and an upward-facing exhaust for easier handling of water crossings.

Dual-purpose tyres, 10-step adjustable mono-shock suspension, accessible seat height of 825 mm and high ground clearance of 220 mm provide good off-road capability for all kinds of two-wheeled adventures. The XPulse 200 now comes with a standard luggage plate with bungee hooks for carrying luggage even with a rear passenger on board.

The 2021 Hero XPulse 200 4 Valve will continue to receive the rally kit to transform the stock bike into a more capable rally machine. The rally kit is street legal, and is equivalent to FMSCI-approved motorsports events.

Improved features, new colors

The outgoing XPulse 200 was known to have a weak headlight throw, and that seems to have been addressed in the four-valve version. The enhanced LED headlight is said to provide better visibility at night. The bike continues to get features like LCD instrument console, call alert, turn-by-turn navigation with Bluetooth connectivity. Hero XPulse 200 4 Valve is now available in three new color options, Trail Blue, Blitz Blue and Red Red.
