Himachal Pradesh elections: PM Modi links Congress to ‘corruption’, ‘scam’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said Himachal Pradesh needs a stable and strong government of “double engine”, and linked the Congress to “instability, corruption and scams”, according to news agency PTI.

Addressing a rally in Kangra district today, the Prime Minister accused the BJP’s main rival Congress of betraying the state while in power at the Centre.

He also noted that Congress is left in power only in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh and asked people if they had ever heard him making news for development, rather the reports of internal conflicts within the Congress had emerged from there.

PM Modi started his speech by praising Himachal Pradesh. He said, Kangra is the land of ‘Shaktipeeths’. It is a pilgrimage place where the faith and spirituality of India is present. From Baijnath to Kathgarh, in this land, the infinite grace of Baba Bhole is always with all of us.’
