Himachal Pradesh government will start batch-wise recruitment for JBT posts

Himachal Pradesh (HP) government will soon start batch-wise recruitment of vacant posts in educational institutions to ensure adequate employment opportunities to the trained Junior Basic Training (JBT) youth of the state.

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur made this announcement while addressing the delegation of Himachal Pradesh Teachers Federation in the assembly premises on Tuesday.

The Chief Minister said that the Education Department is probably the largest department employing maximum number of employees in the State.

Thakur said that the State Government has made several announcements in the budget for the year 2022-23 for the convenience of teachers of every category. It has been announced that the designation of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) qualified and qualified Shastri and Language teachers will be changed to Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Sanskrit) and TGT (Hindi).

Similarly, Lecturer (School Cadre) and Lecturer (School New) will be designated as Lecturer (School), he said.

Thakur said that it has also been announced in the budget of the next financial year that lecturers promoted from TGT will be given one-time option of promotion as Headmaster. He said that a provision A provision of Rs.8,412 crore has been made for the education sector during the year 2022-23.

Thakur said, “All the legitimate demands of the teachers will be considered sympathetically. Despite the pandemic, there was no delay of even a day in the salaries of the employees.”

Education Minister Govind Singh Thakur and other officials of the federation were also present on the occasion.
