At present, the cause of the fire is believed to be a short circuit in the electrical wiring. When the kitchen caught fire, the gas cylinder kept there also caught fire. Naveen Kumar, a shopkeeper at Rajguru Market, said around 16 people were sleeping on the terrace of the restaurant at the time of the accident, out of which one died due to burns. The rest saved their lives by jumping on the nearby shops.
SP Lokendra Singh Said that at present no case has been registered in this incident. If any negligence is found, action will be taken as per law, he added.
