Hit – The First Case Trailer Launch: Rajkummar Rao shortens his honeymoon for the event; Deets Inside

Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra are preparing for their upcoming film Hit: The First Case. Ever since the news of Rajkummar working with Sanya surfaced, fans are eagerly waiting to see these two powerhouses sharing the screen space. While the makers have already unveiled the first look of the film, its lead stars Rajkumar and Sanya launched the much-awaited trailer at an event at City Mall in Andheri on Thursday.

In pictures, from the event, Rajkummar and Sanya look stylish as they flaunt their uber-cool avatars. While we can see Sanya looking fabulous in a satin peach short dress, Rajkummar looks stunning in a puffy printed jacket and a pair of black denims.

Actor Rajkummar Rao arrived in Mumbai early morning to launch the trailer of his upcoming film Hit. Amidst taunts over how her honeymoon got cut off because of the film, she said that the film is important to her. “I was unable to go anywhere due to the pandemic and work commitments. I am going back on vacation after the trailer launch.”

At the launch, he was joined by Director Dr Shailesh Kolanu, Producer Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishan Kumar and Kuldeep Rathore. Her co-star Sanya, who plays his wife in the film, said working with her was a wonderful experience as she is someone she admires a lot. “Everything goes well when you are working with an actor like Raj. I just had to react to what he did,” she said.

Director Shailesh Kolanu, who made the original film in Telugu, plans to turn the film into a successful franchise. “I have made this film according to the sensibility of my new audience. I firmly believe this is not a remake. And if remakes are made then it should be directed by the original director only,” he said.

Rajkumar, who is playing a cop for the second time after Badhaai Do, says it is a film with a lot of essence just like his previous film. “There’s a lot of baggage in my character in this film,” he said, adding, “I think we still don’t talk enough about mental health, specifically PTSD. And as far as the film’s The question is, overall, investigative thrillers in Hindi cinema need more such scripts.” The actor is hopeful that this franchise becomes a hit as the director has seven more stories to take forward with the film.

The film, which will hit the theaters on July 15, is a dark thriller that will keep the audience guessing.
