Holidays in stock market: BSE, NSE will be closed for two days this week

As per the Stock Market Holiday 2021 list available on the official website of BSE – bseindia.com, the stock markets (BSE and NSE) will remain closed for two days this week. The stock market will remain closed on November 4 on account of Diwali, on November 5 for Deepawali Balipratipada and on November 19 on account of Guru Nanak Jayanti. As per the Stock Market Holiday Calendar of BSE, there will be no action in Equity, Derivatives and SLB segments these days.

However, it is worth mentioning that Muhurta trading will take place on 4th November.

Muhurta Trading There is auspicious stock market trading for one hour on Diwali (Deepawali). It is a symbolic and age-old ritual, maintained and celebrated by the trading community for centuries. As Diwali also marks the beginning of the new year, it is believed that Muhurta trading on this day brings wealth and prosperity throughout the year.

Muhurta Trading Timings

The Muhurta trading session on NSE will start at 6:15 PM and will close at 7:15 PM this Diwali. The special trading window opens after the Hindu calendar marks the beginning of a new Samvat or Samvat 2078 – the Hindu calendar year that begins on Diwali – and it is believed that Muhurta trading brings prosperity and wealth throughout the year.

Stock market holidays in November 2021

According to the stock market holiday calendar of BSE, there will be three holidays in the market in November 2021. Due to Guru Nanak Jayanti, the stock market will remain closed on November 19, except on November 4, 5.
