How to make cheese spread at home | Healthy Homemade Cheese Spread Recipe

Homemade paneer spread requires a few ingredients which are easily available at home. The simple process can be mastered even by novice cooks. Chef Neha Deepak Shah told that this recipe yields about 320 to 350 grams of cheese spread. You can store it in an airtight container in the fridge, and the salt in the spread will act as a preservative, suggested the chef.

Component:

For Chhaina:

  • 1 liter milk
  • 3 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp salt

For Paneer:

  • 150 grams hung curd
  • 1 cheese cube (optional)
  • a little more salt

Method:

  1. Let the milk boil. Once it starts bubbling, add Lemon juice And water it. This will separate the milk and you will get around 180-200 grams of chhaina.
  2. Pour the Chhaina in a muslin cloth to remove excess water. Don’t squeeze the chhaina too much, else it will turn like paneer. Keep it aside.
  3. Take a blender and add chenna to it. Also add hung curd, a little salt and a cheese cube as optional ingredients. Make sure the amount of water is limited, else the paneer will be too runny.
  4. Blend the mixture 1-2 times to get a smooth creamy spread.
  5. Your creamy homemade cheese spread is ready! Store it in the fridge and enjoy.
