The latest images show a new small-capacity adventure bike from Honda that will be slightly more off-road capable than Honda CB200X Launched in India. Called the Honda CRF190L, the new adventure-ready model will have more off-road capability, and will have the same basic premise for new and less-experienced riders embarking on adventure rides. Initially expected to be launched in the Chinese market, the Honda CRF190L is expected to be launched sometime towards the end of the current year, and is expected to be based on the same platform as the India-made Honda CB200X. is based. Unlike the Honda CB200X, the CRF190L will come with longer travel suspension, wire spoke wheels and dual-purpose tyres, which will make it more off-road ready than the CB200X. The engine is expected to be the same unit shared with the India-made Honda Hornet 2.0. The 184.4 cc, single-cylinder engine makes 17 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 16.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine gets Honda’s Programmed Fuel Injection along with 8 on-board sensors that continuously inject optimum fuel and air mixture for better efficiency and performance.

However, this is all conjecture at this point. The exact specifications of the Honda CRF190L will be revealed when the bike is launched later this year. The CRF190L would certainly make for an approachable and affordable adventure bike that would be lightweight and non-intimidating. For now, it is expected to make its debut in China, and if it proves successful, Honda considers offering it in other markets, and possibly even manufacturing it in India.
