In the first phase, Habitat for Humanity India provided PPE kits, oxygen concentrators, ventilators, digital thermometers, pulse oximeters, N-95 masks and semi-fowler beds with mattresses, pillows, pillow covers, bedsheets and blankets to medical institutions . In the second phase, onsite Oxygen Generator, Nebulizer, ECG Machine, ICU Para Monitor, Portable X-Ray Machine have been made available to augment the capacity of the hospitals.
“At Lowes, we are committed to supporting our communities. Through this association with Habitat for Humanity India, we aim to rapidly manage the COVID-19 pandemic, including medical assistance, to Karnataka government hospitals in the most efficient manner. Relief measures have to be provided,” said Ankur Mittal, senior vice president and managing director, Lowes India.
“We need to ensure access to advanced institutional healthcare for low-income families to increase their resilience in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The collaboration with Lowes only reiterates our commitment to enhancing the critical care efficiencies of the general health facilities of government hospitals in Bengaluru. Rajan Samuel, Managing Director, Habitat for Humanity India said, this will help us keep the families affected by Kovid-19 on the path of recovery.
