A 286-year-old house that was the site of several mysterious events that inspired the 2013 horror film Magical, set to be sold for $1.5 million. The Farmhouse, located on Rhode Island, is one of America’s most infamous haunted houses.
Paranormal investigators Jen and Corey Heinzen bought the nearly 3,100-square-foot home in 2019 for $4,39,000. When he listed it for sale in September 2021, he had asked for $1.2 million as the asking price. The new buyer, Jacqueline Nunez, is a real-estate developer from Boston.
Heinzens has scheduled a live event on his Facebook page for Thursday to make the announcement.
wall street journal Told that the couple received several offers for a three bedroom house. “We got a lot of ridiculous bids, but people declined to be interviewed,” Ms Heinzen said.
The couple then insisted on interviewing potential buyers as a condition of selling the property. They also put forth a few other conditions, including that the buyer does not live in the house – what they claim is buyer’s protection.
The new owner must continue to use the home as a business and allow visitors to stay overnight and check for paranormal activities. The couple also required the buyer to honor existing overnight bookings throughout the year.
Andrea Peron, 63, who lived in the house between 1971 and 1980, said her family had a harrowing experience there. Once, he said, he saw his mother lying on a chair and then she was thrown 20 feet away. However, Ms Peron said her mother had no recollection of the incident.
A paranormal investigator who visited the home when Perón lived there said the family described a sister being slapped by an unseen entity. Two more paranormal investigators later volunteered to assist with the investigation. His work in the 2013 film was fictional.
Ms Peron said the house had chosen its new owner. “I believe the house chose Jacqueline (Nunez) the same way it chose us. It wants his light. ,
Ms Nunez said she is not afraid of the mansion, but joked that she should ask him again in a year.
