He was addressing the public after the government deposited Rs 1,261 crore for the third consecutive year under the ‘YSR Sunna Vaddi’ scheme as interest reimbursement in the accounts of 1.02 crore women beneficiaries belonging to ‘self-help groups’.

Reddy said Navaratnalu – the bouquet of nine schemes – has changed the lives of the weaker sections. “Naidu does not want to implement these schemes when he comes to power. How can the state get into a crisis like Sri Lanka if the plans are implemented? If they are not implemented, as was the case during Naidu’s tenure, will the state become America,” Reddy asked.

Addressing the gathering at Ongole town in Prakasam district, the CM said that the state is committed to women empowerment and has therefore launched schemes like Sunna Vaddi (interest free loan), Asara and Cheyutha.

In the last three years, the government has disbursed Rs 3,615 crore under the YSR Sunna Vaddi schemes, benefiting women who took loans and made timely payments. Listing out welfare schemes, he said, “Since the formation of the government, Rs 1,36,694 crore has been disbursed through direct bank transfer without any middlemen or corruption, of which Rs 94,318 crore has been deposited directly to women beneficiaries.” Had gone.”

Reddy said there was no difference in revenue and debt between his government and the previous government, and despite having less borrowing than before, all the promised welfare schemes were being implemented in a transparent manner. He claimed that he had “achieved what Naidu could not do during his tenure”.

He said the government gave priority to the weaker sections and strived for social justice, and even in cities like Vijayawada, the post of mayor was given to BC.
