Department of Posts has recently unveiled its new “Interactive Voice Response (IVR)” facility for Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) account holders. The new feature is available through your mobile phone. As per the circular, now customers with small savings schemes like PPF, NSC and others can also use the IVR facility by dialing India Post’s toll-free number 18002666868. Post office account holders can use the new IVR service. To perform a variety of services on your accounts.
How to use IVR feature
IVR offers many options to its savings account customers. If any customer wants any information in ‘Hindi’ language, just press 1. To know the account balance of all plans, press 5, then dial the account number, followed by hash (#). To block an ATM card, press 6, then enter the card number, then the account number and then press 3 followed by the customer ID number.
How to use IVR to know last four transactions
To know about the last four transactions, press 2. To know about a specific transaction, press 3. To know more about interest income and tax deduction, press 4. Press 5 to stop account check-in.

Press 6 to block the ATM card
Press 1 using card number

Press 3 using Customer ID (CIF Number)

Press 1 to know the status of checks issued on your account
Press 2 to know the details of the last four transactions in your account.
Press 3 to know the details of any specific transaction in your account.
Press 4 to know the interest earned and paid or tax deducted on your account
Press 5 to stop paying checks on your account.
Press # to repeat option
Press * to go to the previous menu
Press 2 to inquire on transactions on your Fixed Deposit Account (TD/RD/SCSS/MIS/KVP/NSC).
