How to Bold or Italicize Your Text on WhatsApp

WhatsApp Allows you to format the text inside your messages. Although Facebook The proprietary platform does not support custom fonts, it provides various options that can help users to make the text inside the message more meaningful and easier to understand. The options offered by WhatsApp include – Bold, Italic, Strikethrough and Monospace. It is worth noting that the feature is enabled by default and the platform does not provide an option to disable the feature. The format option is available to all users. If you want to know how to make your text bold or italicized on WhatsApp, you can follow these steps:

1.

Open WhatsApp app on your smartphone.

2.

Tap on Individual Chat or Group Chat where you want to send bold or italic text.

3.

Tap on the chat box at the bottom of the screen and type the message you want to send.

4.

Touch and hold the word you want to bold or italicize. If you want to select an entire line or paragraph, you can use the handles to adjust the selection.

5.

Tap on BIU from the pop-up.

For Android users who don’t see the BIU option in the pop-up after selecting a text, you can make your text bold or italic in a different method. To italicize your message, put an underscore on either side of the text. For example _text_. To make your message bold, put an asterisk on either side of the text, such as *text*.
