Step 1: Visit the official website of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

Step 2: Select your region, then select Apply Online, and subsequently select the option “Services on Driving License”.

Step 3: Before continuing, read all the instructions that appear in the dialog box carefully and click on continue button.

Step 4: Fill an old driving license number, date of birth, RTO, state and other data carefully then click on proceed button.

Step 5: Fill in all the fields to validate the permanent address and then click on the option that mentions “Proceed” option.

Step 6: Now, from that list, you have to select the Change in Driving License service option!

Step 7: Enter the address you want to convert to your new driving licence, input the captcha, and then click on the submit button.

Step 8: On the next page, you will need to find the Application Number Number, which you can take a print out of for future reference. Then, all you have to do is press the button which is mentioned next button.

Step 9: Now you have to provide a copy of your old driving license and address proof. After that, an online fee has to be submitted; For this reason, you need to consider:

Step 11: Now, you have to make the payment, select it and then make the payment using the payment gateway.

Here is the offline process to change the address on your driving license:

If you want to register offline, the first step is to get No Objection Certification/Security Clearance from the RTO where you obtained your driving license. When you want to modify your address after getting NOC or CC, you have to visit the local RTO.

You will also need a caste certificate as well as an income certificate if you do not have a valid form of identification. Along with caste certificate, other documents such as filled application form and address proof have to be submitted (such as ration card, voter ID, passport, water bill and telephone bill).

Get these documents verified with the superintendent and pay the processing cost when you want to change your address. In fact, the application will be confirmed with a receipt or acknowledgment form. And driving license will be issued within 30 days from the date of application.
