How to Make Koshimbir (Maharashtrian Onion Salad) – Recipe By Nutitionist Rujuta Diwekar

Maybe we all also eat salad with our daily meals. Salad plays a constant role in our diet – be it with chicken and rice, or dal-rice, or as a snack. However, when we describe or discuss the traditional desi thali, it is greatly underestimated. Desi salad, unlike exotic salad bowls, is quite simple, hearty, and can be made with simple foods like onions, cucumber and tomatoes. People also like to add beetroot, radish, capsicum, cabbage etc. to their salad mix. Some add simple salt and pepper to it and some like to keep it elaborate and add lime juice, sauce etc. to it. In fact, different regional cuisines have different salad mixes. For example, North Indian kebabs come with onion flakes.

Also, it cleanses the palate and adds crunch to the food. This special recipe has been shared by celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar on Instagram.
