HRF urges CS to order probe into land scam

About 250 acres of land is now in the name of close relatives of a leader of the ruling party

The State Committee of Human Rights Forum (HRF) has appealed to the Chief Secretary to order a probe into the land scam in Jinnaram mandal of Sangareddy district where the government and allotted land were illegally transferred.

HRF Coordination Committee member S Jeevan Kumar said in a release here on Monday that the government and constituted a 10-member committee comprising Sanjeev, Nagaiah, Meera Sanghamitra and others as a fact-finding team to study the illegal transfer of allotted land. it was done. The team visited Kishtpally, Chettipocharam and Ali Nagaram on January 11 and interacted with the local people.

Mr. Jeevan Kumar said that in survey number 166, about 250 acres of land given to 100 families and the names of those assigned have been changed and new names of close relatives of a ruling party leader in Pahanis have been found. He said some land got converted into private land and alleged the role of then MRO G Narendra in allotment of land in fake names to some ex-servicemen.

Shri Jeevan Kumar, citing certain documents, urged the Chief Secretary to order an inquiry into the matter.
