Huawei MateBook E (2022) 2-in-1 With Windows 11 Goes Official

Huawei MateBook E (2022) 2-in-1 device was launched on Wednesday. The MateBook E (2022) running Windows 11 sports a 12.6-inch OLED display. Huawei’s new 2-in-1 offering comes with the 11th generation Intel Core i7-1160G7 processor. Additionally, the company also unveiled the Huawei VR Glass 6DoF Game Set as its latest virtual reality (VR) headset for gamers. The headset comes with dedicated controllers to enhance immersive experiences. The Shenzhen-based company launched its new products at an event where it also unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Huawei Watch GT Runner.

Huawei MateBook E (2022), VR Glasses 6DoF game set price, availability

New Huawei Matebook E (2022) There is a starting price of CNY 5,999 (approximately Rs 69,700) for the Intel Core i5 variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The device comes in an Intel Core i5 model with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD for CNY 6,999 (approx Rs 81,400) and an Intel Core i7 variant with the same 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD configuration for CNY 7,999 (approx Rs 93,000). It is offered in Interstellar Blue and Nebula Ash colorways.

The Huawei VR 6DoF Game Set is priced at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs 46,500) and is available in a single Black color option.

In terms of availability, the Huawei VR Glasses 6DoF game set will be available for purchase in China from November 26. The Huawei MateBook E (2022), however, will be available for sale in the country from December 1.

Details regarding the global launch of the Huawei MateBook E (2022) and VR Glass 6DoF game set are yet to be announced.

It sports a 12.6-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,600×1,600 pixels that brings in 16:10 aspect ratio and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display also has 240ppi pixel density and supports up to 10 simultaneous touch inputs. The MateBook E (2022) also supports the second generation Huawei M-Pencil and comes with an easily detachable keyboard.

Under the hood, the Huawei MateBook E (2022) has an up to 11th generation Intel Core i7-1160G7 processor paired with Intel Iris Xe graphics and up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM. There’s also up to 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD storage.

The MateBook E comes with multiple connectivity options including Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1. You’ll also get a Thunderbolt 4 (USB Type-C) port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Furthermore, the device packs an 8-megapixel camera on the front and a 13-megapixel camera at the back.

Huawei The MateBook E (2022) is equipped with four speakers and a microphone. There is also a fingerprint sensor within the power button.

The Huawei MateBook E (2022) packs a 42Whr lithium polymer battery. There’s also a kickstand that lets you move the tablet between 110-160 degrees. Furthermore, the 2-in-1 device measures 286.5×184.7×7.99mm and weighs 907 grams.

Huawei VR 6DoF Game Set Specifications

Huawei VR 6DoF is an upgrade to the game set Huawei VR Glasses, Which was Unveiled Back in 2019. The new model comes with a 6DoF vision module and two gamepad controllers – along with regular Huawei VR glasses. The headset unit features a 2.1-inch Dual Fast LCD panel that offers monocular resolution of 1,600×1,600 pixels and binocular resolution of 3,200×1,600 pixels. The displays also offer a combined pixel density of 1,058ppi and a refresh rate of 70Hz when used with a mobile device, or 90Hz when paired with a computer.

Sensors on the VR Glass Headset include accelerometer, gyroscope and proximity sensor. Huawei has equipped the 6DoF vision module with an accelerometer, gyroscope and a dedicated camera to detect movements and analyze the ambient environment. The gamepad controls, on the other hand, come with an accelerometer, capacitive proximity sensor, compass, gyroscope, and magnetometer.

Gamepad controls come with joystick keys and menu keys, as well as trigger buttons and regular A and B keys. There’s also a Home button to return to the homepage on the headset.

On the audio part, the VR 6DoF game set offers spatial positioning, environmental modeling, and multi-channel sound effects. There is also an inbuilt microphone and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Huawei VR 6DoF game set comes bundled with a clip that lets you attach your smartphone to your belt while playing games on the headset. Alternatively, you can connect it to your PC. The VR Glass Headset weighs in at 166 grams, while the 6DoF Vision Module weighs in at 22 grams and each gamepad controller weighs 103.5 grams.
