Hyderabad: A centuries-old hill temple, yadagiriguttaalso known memory, and Tirumala of Telangana, is now on the postal cover. The first temple in Telangana, which is being honored by the Telangana Postal Department by issuing a postal cover.
Union Minister of State for Communications, Devusinh Chauhan A visitor to the Yadadri Temple on Monday has issued a postal cover on the Yadadri Temple at Bhongir Post Office.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Devusinh Chouhan said, “It is a matter of privilege to have got an opportunity to release a special cover on Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple, which has its origin in Vedas and Skanda Purana. He felt blessed to release a special cover of 39 kilograms of gold and 1753 tons of silver on the reconstructed temple.
In March this year, the temple was renovated with Rs 1,200 crore, said to be the costliest temple in Telangana, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. Since then, devotees have been doing darshan and worship on the hill of the temple.
Yadadri is located at a distance of about 60 kms from Hyderabad city and the temple has road and rail connectivity.
The Yadadri special cover is priced at Rs.50 with special cancellation and Rs.45 without cancellation and the brochure will be available for sale across all postal stamp bureaus in all Head Post Offices in Telangana.
Officers including TM Srilatha, Postmaster General (HQ Area), KA Devaraj, Director Postal Services (HQ), KVN Rao, and Chief General Manager, BSNL, Ashok Kumar, Principal DoT were also present.
