The new variant doesn’t get the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system as it has been replaced with an 8-inch touchscreen information display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Also, the new Prestige Executive variant has only one mic, while the Prestige variant has two mics.
Other features of the new Prestige Executive Bass variant of the Alcazar SUV will include a four-speaker sound system, two tweeters and voice commands. Apart from the large touchscreen system, the Alcazar misses out on telematics features and an electroplated IRVM. It gets a new manually-dimmable IRVM at the discretion of the driver. Also, the Prestige Executive variant does not get a burglar alarm and chrome-finished door handles.
Under the hood, the new Alcazar Prestige Executive Edition is powered by a 2.0-litre MPI engine that cranks out 158 bhp @ 6,500 rpm and 191 Nm @ 4,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed manual and six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
On the other hand, the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel CRDi engine produces 113 bhp@4,000 rpm and 250 Nm@1,500 rpm. A 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox are on offer.
