The company has two plants in Tamil Nadu, the first one near Chennai. Both the plants in Tamil Nadu called off the scheduled biennial maintenance, leading to no production for 6 days from 16 to 21 May. This reduced the availability of the vehicle in the month affecting May 2022 sales numbers (domestic and export). From June 2022, production will be scaled up to meet the high demand from domestic and export markets to ensure timely delivery of long awaited customers.
