I am a victim of conspiracy, timing of my dismissal may be bad, ED probe may get hampered: Partha Chatterjee

Partha Chatterjee said on Friday, “I have become a victim of conspiracy.”

On coming out of the hospital, when asked whose conspiracy it was, he said, “Have a look at the party’s decision.”

Asked if the party’s decision was right, he said, “Time is bad. This may adversely affect the objectivity of the investigation. ,

Chatterjee was handling the portfolios of commerce and enterprise, industry, information technology and electronics as well as parliamentary affairs in the West Bengal government of Mamata Banerjee. In Trinamool Congress, he was general secretary, member of the disciplinary committee and several other committees and the state vice-president.

Chatterjee is accused of irregularities in the recruitment of teachers and staff through the West Bengal School Service Commission (SSC) in state-funded and aided schools. He was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on July 23.

Her colleague Arpita Mukherjee also said that she was a “victim of a conspiracy” when she entered the hospital and broke down.

Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday seized the overall 28 crore cashGold ornaments, gold bars, property deeds and documents related to property during raids at another residence of Mukherjee in Kolkata suburb of Belgharia.

This comes days after the agency seized Rs 21 crore cash One of Mukherjee’s several residential complexes, which it was said was suspected to be the proceeds of the SSC scam.

According to ED sources, the financial link between Chatterjee and Mukherjee is almost established.

The TMC has clearly made its stand clear on Thursday with its leader Abhishek Banerjee: “With circumstantial evidence, some things are coming to the fore. We want to give benefit of doubt to common people. Whoever is involved in this, the party will stand against them.”

Chatterjee’s statements have not only given rise to another conspiracy theory but also created a gray area. Experts say that after Chatterjee’s remarks, the question is whether it is a conspiracy within or outside the party, while Mukherjee’s claims raise questions- conspiracy Against Chatterjee?

Meanwhile, the TMC has also hinted at a conspiracy by questioning the raid on Chatterjee on July 22, a day after the party’s successful Martyrs’ Day rally.

TMC leader and MLA Tapas Roy said, “Chatterjee only has to prove whether he is innocent or not. Everything will be proved in the court of law.”

This clearly indicates that the party does not want to take responsibility of Chatterjee in any way.
