Scottish football club Celtic’s famous chant ‘I just can’t get enough’ has been rated as the best in world football. A Spanish media outlet recently compiled a list of 12 chants from around the world and the song started by the Green Brigade in 2010 managed to outshine the likes of Liverpool, Real Madrid and River Plate.
The famous Liverpool anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ claimed the second spot on the list. Belgian football team Club Brugge’s Seven Nation Army and Argentinean team River Plate’s Lega El Domingo Voy a Ver al Campin also feature in the unique list.
Celtic are one of the most famous clubs in Europe and are known for their epic rivalry with Rangers in Scotland. According to Spanish outlet 90 Minutes en Espaol, the entire Celtic stadium could be heard celebrating after the song ‘I just can’t get enough’ was played. And no one stands still while the song is playing.
According to an article shared by Glasgow Live, the Spanish outlet also shared a video of ‘The Best I Just Can’t Get Enough’, which was held in Parkhead in February 2011, when Celtic won 3–0 emphatic. Victory was achieved. The video against the Rangers has garnered over 4.5 million views on YouTube.
This particular chant by the Green Brigade began in 2010 and did not take long to gather the rest of the Celtic support.
ITV commentator Clive Tyldsley previously claimed that Celtic Park offers the best atmosphere in European football. According to an article published by Sport Bible, Tyldsley chose Celtic Home Ground in terms of the atmosphere it provides.
“I think there are some environments overseas that are totally different. You may have experienced different nights in Turkey and Greece, and it’s totally different. But Celtic Park and Enfield take a bit of a beating on European nights, They really do. But if I was really pushed, I think Parkhead might just have the edge [Anfield] On a big European night,” he said on the Irish Show of the Ball.
Liverpool fans, on the other hand, tend to identify themselves with the chant ‘You’ll never walk alone’, but it is important to mention that the second-placed chant on the unique list also has links with German football club Borussia Dortmund .
Football fans at Dortmund’s home ground Signal Iduna Park can often be heard singing the pop classic as their anthem.
