OVEP was officially launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik, IOC Member Smt. Nita Ambani, IOC Education Commission Chairman Mikaela Cojuangco Jaworski, Olympian and IOC Athletes Commission Member Abhinav Bindra and Indian Olympic Association President. (IOA) Narinder Batra. Two Reliance Foundation athletes from HPC – Jyothi Yaraji and Amlan Borgohain – broke national records and won medals in international athletic events in the last one month. Jyoti has been in a phenomenal run, initially breaking a 19-year-old national record and then improving her own record in subsequent events. With this feat, Jyoti has earned AFI qualification time for the Commonwealth Games, highlighting that the future of Indian sports is in safe hands.
