“I won’t accept the body till…”: Bangalore man after family members crush him with Metro pillar

Giving a statement about the incident, he said, “We were traveling on two wheels. I had dropped them at a place and then had to leave, but the incident happened within a fraction of a second. I looked back and saw I lost my senses. Wife and child had fallen. I had nothing in my hand. He asked the government to take security measures and precautions to prevent any such incident in future.

He said, “What I tell the government, I have lost everything. The government should only ensure that such incidents do not happen in future. All safety and precautions should be taken otherwise this situation will not be faced.” ,

Madan Kumar, the father of the trapped woman, demanded the cancellation of the construction work, saying he would not release his daughter’s body until the wheelbarrow was gone. He said, “Until the account is cancelled, I will not take the dead body. Allow them to forge documents that have been given? The tender should be canceled and the work should be stopped.”

Sikandar woman’s mother-in-law Nirmal said, “She had come to Bangalore from Davangere 10 days ago. She had admitted her children to school. The incident happened around 10.30 am. The officials did not come officially.”

Vijay Kumar, father-in-law of the fake woman, alleged that the in-charge of the Metro pillar in Bangalore did not take security measures. He demanded to stop the work immediately. He said, “The responsibility of Metro pillar construction clearly did not take safety measures. The construction situation should be stopped immediately as it is going on without safety.”

Meanwhile, Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for the next of kin of the deceased in the Bangalore Metro pillar accident that claimed two lives. Bommai said formally that he had asked for the details of the accident. He said, “It is an unfortunate incident. Instructions have been given to order an inquiry to find out any wrongdoing due to bullying or other reasons. An amount of Rs 10 lakh will be given to the family of the journalists.”
