The BMW i Vision circular is made from 100% recyclable materials

The design of the Eye Vision circular is based on four principles – Rethink, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The concept features a main body made of secondary aluminum with a light-gold anodized finish. It gets the signature kidney grille that spans the entire width of the front end and mingles with the headlights. Instead of being chrome along the bar, the kidney grille has been reinterpreted as a digital surface. A discreet line graphic on the kidney surfaces is the only decorative element in the front end. The surfaces under the windscreen are made of secondary aluminum. An additional sensor cluster between the two kidney elements ties the technical features together, enabling simple disassembly within a single removable element.

The 4-seater cabin of the BMW i Vision Circular is futuristic with lounge seats

On the inside, the BMW i Vision Circular gets a mint-green colored cabin with four lavender colored lounge seats. The carmaker says that these seats are made from recycled plastic. There is a 3D-printed steering wheel that at the same time creates a link between the past and the future. It also comes equipped with a one-piece dashboard with ambient lighting and embedded crystal elements. There is also a central information display located above the instrument panel, below the windscreen. This display area takes the heads-up display by BMW to a whole new level. All relevant information is projected onto the lower area of the windscreen at its full width.

The BMW i Vision Circular also gets the option of bidirectional charging. In such scenarios, the vehicle would act as a mobile energy storage device and feed electricity to its surroundings such as buildings and infrastructure. It can even be fed back into the power grid to help absorb peaks in demand. The concept electric car is not expected to go into production anytime soon. We may see something similar in the future, perhaps in 2040. We wouldn’t be surprised to see some of these unique recycling technologies employed by BMW on its future models.
