ICC T20 World Cup 2021: Virat Kohli took the responsibility of bowling in the practice match, Twitter took a dig

As Team India prepares for them t20 world cup campaign, one of his biggest concerns has been Hardik Pandya’s availability as the sixth bowler to clear a few overs. It seems that skipper Virat Kohli has taken it upon himself to counter it. In the second warm-up match against Australia, Virat can be seen bowling to the Australian batsmen. Where Virat did not take a single wicket, he gave only 12 runs in his 2 overs at an economy of 6.

Fans could not control the excitement of the site and took to Twitter to react with humor and satire on this rare sight. Many fans were reminded of the time when Steve Smith bowled to Kohli associating that image with Virat bowling to Smith yesterday. “October 20, 2010 – Steve Smith bowls to Virat Kohli October 20, 2021 – Virat Kohli bowls to Steve Smith,” the caption read.

A Twitter user sarcastically described Virat as the greatest right-arm fast bowler. The tweet read, ‘With this over I realized that Kohli is the fastest right arm fast bowler.

The official Twitter handle of the T20 World Cup also expressed surprise with a tweet that read, “This is Kohli VS Smith, not as you imagined…”

A fan cherished the moment and said, “Virat Kohli is bowling under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Wow. How pleasant it is.”

Rohit Sharma captained Team India in the second game and said that with Hardik not having much bowling practice before the tournament, Virat, Surya Kumar Yadav and Rohit himself could bowl a few overs to fill the sixth bowler’s spot.

A Twitter user also reacted funny and used the ‘Toh Seekhna Padega’ scene from Hera Pheri (2000) and wrote, “Kohli to Surya Kumar Yadav: Can you bowl a few overs for us? Akash: No, I can’t bowl.

Another praised Kohli saying that being a perfect team man he posted a collage of 4 images in which Kohli can be seen batting, bowling, fielding and keeping wickets.
