ICICI Bank customers can also set bill reminders and view payment history.
ICICI Bank on Monday announced that it has enabled its savings account holders to pay and manage credit card dues of any bank using the lender’s mobile application ‘iMobile Pay’. The private lender said in a release that “customers can add any bank’s credit card to the app within seconds and then pay and manage their dues from the same app.” ICICI Bank said the new facility provides better convenience to customers, who usually use multiple credit cards, by providing them a one-stop solution to manage all their cards with ease.
Lenders usually take new initiatives every year before the arrival of the festive season. for example, State Bank Of India (SBI) Offering EMI or Equated Monthly Installment facility to its debit card holders.
The lender said the new ICICI Bank facility offers better convenience to customers, who typically use multiple credit cards, by providing them a one-stop solution to manage all their cards with ease.
Some of the other benefits offered by the bank include setting bill payment reminders, viewing payment history of all cards, sharing payment confirmations via WhatsApp and managing/changing due dates as per billing cycle.
Mr. Bijit Bhaskar, Head – Digital Channels & Partnerships said, “With a large segment of customers using multiple cards for their various needs, this new solution is aimed at helping them ease the process of their credit card bill payments. It provides them convenience. One-stop payment solution for all their credit cards on one platform, and saves them the hassle of juggling between multiple portals for payment.”
Here’s how customers can take advantage of this facility:
* Log in to iMobile Pay and select the ‘Cards & Forex’ section
* Go to ‘Other Bank Credit Cards’
* Tap on ‘Add a card’ and enter the required details
* Authenticate the OTP (One Time Password) sent to the registered mobile number and the card will be linked instantly
* After adding the card, it can be viewed and managed under the tab ‘Other Bank Credit Cards’
Meanwhile, ICICI Bank shares were trading 0.55% lower in deals of late.
