ICMR-RMRC Dibrugarh launches Foodnet Dashboard. Guwahati News – Times of India

Dibrugarh: ICMR-RMRC Dibrugarh launched on Wednesday foodnet Dashboard and a website of a task force project on Surveillance of Foodborne Pathogens of the Northeast. This initiative, first of its kind in India, will strengthen food-borne pathogen survey and bio-medical research in the country.
ICMR-RMRC Dibrugarh said that the dynamic dashboard will help generate real-time data on outbreaks of diarrheal diseases and food-borne diseases, which will help program planners to implement evidence-based interventions at the earliest. It will also help in understanding the biology and behavior around foodborne disease occurrence through an innovative mixed method research approach. Its experience will serve as the cornerstone for taking this project forward on a pan-India basis.
The project is being carried out in collaboration ICMR, RMRC, NE Zone, Dibrugarh, ICMR, New Delhi, NICED; C-DAC Kolkata with active participation of State Health Officers (Assam, Arunachal,) Tripura And Sikkim), educational institutions and community based organizations.
