“Idli on bike”: Lucknow street food vendor looks like a delivery agent. watch video

Online food ordering is such a trend these days that the roads are full of delivery agents on bikes with large containers mounted on the seat of the bike carrying the food. Agents are braving traffic to complete their deliveries on time. And we love the sight of one of those bikes parked in front of our house to deliver our orders. A street vendor in Lucknow was smart enough to understand the appeal of a food delivery bike and turned his business into a bike and modified it to resemble a food delivery agent’s vehicle.

A food blogger from Lucknow spotted this vendor and captured it in a video, which he posted on his Instagram handle ‘eatwithsid’. A street vendor sells small plates of idli and sambar on his bike. It is shown in the video that the bike has been transformed into a mini street food shop, with food containers bearing pictures and menus of the food. The menu shows 2 idlis for Rs 30 and 3 idlis for Rs 40.
