Ignitron Motocorp Pvt Ltd, a new electric vehicle start-up, has announced a new range of electric motorcycles under the Cyborg brand name. According to a company statement, the Cyborg is a range of premium electric motorcycles with swappable batteries. Cyborg will be rolling out three variants of the electric motorcycle in the mid to high-speed category in the cruiser, regular and sports segments. The company’s flagship product will be an electric cruiser motorcycle, called the Cyborg Yoda, which the company says has been tested for the toughest and most extreme terrain and climatic conditions in India.
Speaking on the announcement, Raghav Kalra, Founder, Ignitron Motocorp Pvt. Ltd. said, “We are delighted to announce our entry into the electric two-wheeler motorbike segment with our new brand, Cyborg. Cyborg will also launch two more products for mass market buyers looking for good range, a powerful motor and affordable price point. According to Ignitron Motocorp, the company will have a strong sales and service network across India, covering the North, South and Western regions of India. The company is also partnering with battery swapping stations as well for roadside assistance, and pay at charging stations, which will be located every 1 kilometer. These are compact home charging sockets that offer 50 percent fast charging in 30 minutes and the online payment will be credited to the seller’s account along with a service charge and a premium charge to earn money on supplies and services.

Ignitron Motocorp Pvt Ltd was established in March 2021, and the company will specialize in manufacturing electric motorcycles under the Cyborg brand name. The manufacturing and assembly of electric motorcycles has already started at the company’s plant at Manesar near Gurugram in Haryana. In the initial phase, the company has a capacity to produce 40,000 units in FY 2022-23.
