IGNOU launches certificate course in Food and Nutrition; Learn all about it here

Recently, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) launched a special certificate program in Food and Nutrition, which aims at providing people with various nutrients, food needs of the body, consequences of wrong type of food and even To educate about the techniques of food processing.

IGNOU on Monday (14 February 2022) launched this certificate program in Food and Nutrition. This new program is offered through IGNOU’s School of Continuing Education. Interested candidates can apply through official website of IGNOU.

The Certificate in Food and Nutrition is a post-literacy awareness program for those who have a basic understanding of reading and writing. It aims to acquaint the learner with the role of food in ensuring a healthy life for the individual, family and community by covering topics such as food selection and preparation, kitchen gardening, food adulteration, nutrition from infancy to old age, food economics, consumer rights Is. , security, and education, among others.

No formal qualifications are required for this program, but the candidate must be at least 18 years of age by the application deadline. Full course fee Rs. 1,900, plus the registration fee of Rs. 200. The course will be taught in Hindi and English and will be completely online in six months.
