IIIT Basara stir: Telangana Education Minister urges students to call off protests

Days after a large section of students of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technology (RGUKT) in Telangana, popularly known as IIIT Basara, criticized the poor quality of infrastructure including food and the appointment of a regular Vice-Chancellor, Minister of State protested. of education P Sabith Indra Reddy told the students that their demands would be met and urged them to withdraw their protest.

The minister took to Twitter to ask students to protest. She tweeted,

Following this, the minister tweeted, “Will take all the issues mentioned in the notice of Hon’ble CM KCR Garu & Education Minister @SabithaindraTRS Garu”.

He also added that, “Please be assured that we are committed to solving any challenges with respect to improving the quality of education.”

However, the students did not stop their protest. They claimed that they would stop the dharna once all their demands were met.
