NS Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak IIM Rohtak celebrated its 13th Foundation Day on 19th November with its faculty, students and community. Justice Surya Kant, Judge of the Supreme Court was present on the occasion and inaugurated a new hostel building in the 200-acre arts campus of the institute.
“IIM Rohtak over the years has become a major center for imparting management knowledge to the larger community. Despite being a new institution, IIM Rohtak has made tremendous contribution in all areas of management studies, which compliments the ongoing dedication, futuristic goals and ambitions of the institute. The Integrated Program in Law is one of the most innovative initiatives of the Institute in the field of Management and Law,” Kant said in his address.
He also appreciated the students of IIM Rohtak for their constant endeavor to achieve excellence with an integrated and innovative approach. “I am sure that within the comfort of this campus, you will find an excellent environment to learn, research and reflect, which will help you grow into successful professionals. I encourage students to become leaders of the future. I encourage you to take advantage of the excellent campus and its facilities.”

In conclusion, he remarked that IIM Rohtak has done well in reaching out to different segments of the society to increase diversity in the campus. “The presence of more than 70% female candidates in its flagship in two consecutive years is a testament to the diversity at IIM Rohtak,” Kant said.
IIM Rohtak has also created a benchmark for other management institutes in the country through its record gender diversity. We have almost achieved the benchmark figure of 9% girl students in MBA program in 2017. 70 percent continuously for two years in 2020 and 2021. Hence, IIM Rohtak is now number one in the world in terms of representation of women in its MBA programme.
Pro. Addressing the teachers and students on the occasion, Dheeraj Sharma said, “In 2022, IIM Rohtak will be the largest IIM in the country. IIM Rohtak has endeavored to provide maximum opportunities to the most deserving students by introducing many new and innovative programmes. IIM Rohtak was the first IIM to start BBA + MBA degree program in 2018. And now, IIM Rohtak has become the only IIM to start BBA + LLB Integrated degree program. In addition, IIM Rohtak is the first and only institute to offer a two-year PG Diploma in Sports Management since 2018. We are now ready to launch more programs and expand the existing programs at our Gurgaon campus.
Prof. Dheeraj Sharma further added, “It is important for us to be relevant and for this we keep emphasizing on public policy work. IIM Rohtak acts as the nodal agency for several projects with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India Haryana, National Police Academy and Ministry of Consumer Affairs among many others. As an endeavor, we will continue to participate in various important policy-making studies and projects that may ultimately benefit different sections of the society. “
