New Delhi: Institutions like IIT Madras have a major role to play in making India a $5 trillion economy and fulfilling the vision of a developed India, Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan released the Strategic Plan 2021-27 of IIT Madras. He said that the day is not far when the whole world will come to IIT Madras to benefit from the Brain Research Centre. Ideas such as 3D-printing technology could revolutionize manufacturing, help solve displacement issues and give the poor a life of dignity.
Pradhan called upon IIT Madras to celebrate a day on the milestones of students in entrepreneurship, file patents for the public good and take a pledge to facilitate easy living for the poorest of the poor.
He also launched the ‘Kotak IITM Save Energy’ mission being set up with CSR funding support from Kotak to help MSMEs reduce energy consumption and to support the development of Quantum Information, Communication and Computing Center (CQICC).
