The Air India Board has appointed former Turkish Airlines Chairman Ilkar Ayyi as the CEO and MD of Air India. The IC will assume its responsibilities by April 1, 2022. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, who was a special invitee to the board meeting, said, “Ilkar is an aviation industry leader who has led Turkish Airlines to its current success during his tenure. We welcome Ilkar to the Tata Group. I am happy to do so, where they will take Air India to a new era.”
