Chaotic Acquisition: Twitter CEO Elon Musk, which acquired the microblogging site early last year, said running the platform has been “quite painful” and a rollercoaster.
Speaking to the BBC on Wednesday, Musk, who bought Twitter for $44 billion in October, did not lament the chaotic acquisition but said he would sell the organization if the “right” person came along.
“No regrets”
During the conversation, he defended his rationale for buying the social media company and said he didn’t regret buying the platform. However, he admitted that “the pain level is so high, it’s not some kind of party”.
“It hasn’t been boring. It’s been quite a rollercoaster,” he said at Twitter headquarters in San Francisco, explaining his view. “It’s really been a pretty tense situation over the last several months”, he said.
“Sometimes you have to sleep in the office”
The second richest man in the world insisted that the workload has been really challenging and he has to sleep in the office. Musk revealed that he has a spot on a couch in a library “that no one goes to”. When he was asked about his controversial tweet, he said in a sarcastic tone that he would not tweet after 3 am.
This is a breaking story. More details will be added.
