Kieron Pollard announced his retirement from IPL in November last year, ending his 13-year association with the Mumbai Indians franchise. Pollard will continue to be a part of the franchise as the batting coach.

The Caribbean all-rounder is currently playing for MI Emirates in the ILT20 and Pollard has been in scintillating form in the competition. With 337 runs under his belt, Pollard is currently the second highest run-scorer in ILT20. Pollard’s strike rate has also been astonishing at 198.23. The 35-year-old has so far managed to hit three half-centuries in the inaugural season of the ILT20. The MI Emirates skipper played another blistering 17-ball 43 to help his side claim a crucial 18-run win over Abu Dhabi Knight Riders on Friday. The Trinidadian-born has scored three half-centuries in his last five matches in ILT20. In the last five matches, Pollard has scored 265 runs at an average of 88.33 and a strike rate of 220.
