Indian Medical Association (IMA) Andhra Pradesh President C. Srinivasa Raju has said that IMA AP Chapter will continue its policy of membership waiver till November 30. The decision was taken in view of the devastation of the pandemic and to ease the burden on the young doctors. He said that from December 1, the membership fee would be increased by 25 percent.
Dr. Raju said in a statement on Friday that earlier the lifetime membership fee was ₹9,000. Now it was ₹6,400 per doctor. IMA members can have many privileges. They may have study material, webinar training to pass the higher exam. They can avail concessional premiums on health insurance, family protection plans themselves. Also, they can make use of guest house facilities at all IMA guest houses in the country.
